The S&P 500 gained 0.54% this week with Friday's close at 2,986.20. The index recorded its weekly low on Monday at 2,962.94, and then traded up to its weekly high on Thursday morning at 3,008.29. However, the index would cool off the remainder of Thursday's session, and a red Friday left another somewhat sour ending to an otherwise favorable trading week - just like last week.
The S&P 500 gained 0.62% this week with Friday's close at 2,970.27. The index's three-week losing streak didn't make it to four. The S&P 500 started the week on wobbly legs, trading down to 2,892.66 on Tuesday, a -2% decline from the prior Friday's close. However, for the second week in a row we recorded a rather impressive midweek reversal, rallying ~100 points from Tuesday's low into Friday's high at 2,993.28. A final-hour selloff on Friday left a somewhat sour ending to an otherwise mostly favorable week.
